Positive Control: rhaminose, GFP expressing plasmid in K-12 E. coli Negative Control: ArsAction transformed in K-12 E. coli, 50mM sodium arsenite Experimental Conditions: ArsAction transformed in K-12 E. coli, rhaminose, 50mM sodium arsenite Cell density assay used and readings taken on a spectrometer with OD 600nm. Positive control showed an increase in cell density, as expected. The negative control showed a slight decrease in cell density, as expected. The experimental control showed a slight increase in cell density. ArsAction was successful in conferring low level arsenite resistance to k-12 strain of E. coli.
